The latest 45 RPM single release on Hidden Volume Stereo Sounds! We shot this back in February on a very cold day in Baltimore. This is the A-Side to our upcoming single that drops on May 25! More details on that coming soon.

New stuff: The “Limbs” single passed the test press stage and we’re in the home stretch. Sounds a-mazing. It will drop (as they say in the biz) early April with the first 150 being pressed on emerald green wax! Also be on the lookout for the mind-numbing video for “Limbs” that we shot back in February. All we can say is capes + masks + old dudes = genius.

Aaaand…THIS WEEK (3/27) we have a rare mid-week show at The Ottobar in Baltimore opening for The World Inferno Friendship Society—we hit the stage at 9pm so get there early! That means you!

Howdy ho! It’s time for The Stents 2012 Year End Wrap Up! Lucky you! Well, this was a banner year for the ol’ Stents—we saw a marginal uptick in shows, a slew of new songs and even better, we made friends from Los Angeles to Greece. But probably the biggest thing to happen was we released our first single, “Meet Mike Hate b/w JPF” on Hidden Volume Records back in July. Since then things have been a whirlwind of live dates, appearances on Merv, dining with celebrities and televsion ads for Colgate and Clearisil. Okay, pretty much none of that happened. But what did happen was you, dear reader, bought our single! You bought it on iTunes, you bought it at shows, you illegally downloaded it from Spanish blog sites. And we love ya for it!

So now we bring this year to a close and we just gotta thank all the people who made this year happen. Starting with all the awesome bands we had the honor of sharing the stage (okay, floor or backroom) with: The Jennifers, The Zambonis, Dagwood, The Improbables, St. James & The Apostles, Thee Lexington Arrows, Jet W. Lee, The C-Sides, Surfing, Pure Junk, Dong Johnson, The Scovilles, The GTVs and Casual Fridays. We’d also like to thank the folks who were kind enough to book us: DJ Amanda Otto, Charles Gaskins, Dave from the Sweet Tea and Pumpkin Pie Fest. And man, the places we played! The Stents have released their new hit single “Meet Mike Hate” on Hidden Volume Stereo Sounds! The single showcases two pulse pounding garage stompers: the maraca driven “Meet Mike Hate” and the heavy hits of “JPF” on the b-side. And yes, that’s our very own Pat Brown on Hammond B-3! Recorded over at Invisible Sound Studios here in Balmer by Dave Nachodsky it also features a zesty custom jacket design by Exit10.
